One large 1-topping pizza per week for a total of 52 weeks!
Green Lantern Pizza points DO NOT expire. Points may only be earned by a participant on food orders (no points are awarded for taxes, delivery fees, gratuity, alcohol, apparel or gift card purchases). A participant may only receive a maximum of ten (10) points per day for the purchase of $10 or more in food items at any Green Lantern Pizza location. A participant may use redeemed points for dine-in, carryout or delivery orders. Once a participant redeems points, the redeemed points will be deducted from the total amount of the participants points. For example, if a participant has a total of 100 points and chooses to redeem 60 points, the participant will then have a total of 40 points remaining. If a participant reaches a total of 5,000 points, upon redeeming the points, the participant will be rewarded with a gift card with a value equal to the price of one (1) free large one-topping pizza (valued at the time the participant reaches 5,000 points, excluding tax), per week, for one (1) year (i.e. the price of 52 large one-topping pizzas), and then the participants points will be reset to zero (0). All participant’s points may be redeemed at any Green Lantern Pizza location. A participant is solely responsible for providing information sufficient to earn points at the time of purchase.

Yes, pizza boxes are recyclable — but their viability depends on how clean they are. Leftover cheese, crumbs and grease make cardboard unrecyclable, leading to potential issues at the recycling plant. Soiled boxes can also contaminate other objects in the bin or bag. You can trim away or remove questionable areas before recycling pizza boxes to eliminate any risk to the process.
Pizza boxes are compostable and break down pretty quickly. For that reason, composting might be the easiest and the best way to eliminate your pizza boxes. Whether you use a compost bin or have a composting setup at home, boxes caked in grease, sauce and cheese are perfect additions.
Some local municipalities offer compost pickups or can supply you with materials if you don’t already have a heap. If you have your own composting system, you can throw the box in or cut it up for a faster decomposition with any leftovers still attached.
Pizza boxes are typically constructed from multilayered, corrugated cardboard, so they’re among the most biodegradable food containers. You can effortlessly dispose of your contaminated boxes in the right environment.
